I've even tried sticking tape over the bottom of the screen, but no good - the app has become unusable for me. But on the minus side, the prediction bar - which is useful (if at all) mainly for the on-screen keyboards - won't stop jumping around at the bottom of the view as I type. On the plus side, Swiftkey is one of the few keyboard apps that builds in support for external keyboards. An example: I write (for a living) many hours a day, using a bluetooth keyboard on an android phablet, and I need as minimal a full-screen writing experience as possible. Sure, the bar may be useful for most users most of the time, but there are plenty of circumstances when you want to get rid of it. Signed up just to comment here - I'm a new user of Swiftkey, and it is mostly great, but as others have said on this thread, this unavoidable prediction bar is a really bad decision.
